SYDNEY, Dec. 28 (UPI) -- A Dutch artist's giant "Rubber Duck" has been brought to Australia to float into Darling Harbor and kick off the Sydney Festival season.

Florentijn Hofman, 35, the artist who created "Rubber Duck" from PVC, said the Darling Harbor-bound duck is the latest of several versions of the artwork, this one assembled in Auckland, New Zealand, the Sydney Morning Herald reported Friday.

The duck is billed by the Sydney Festival as "five stories high and five stories wide" and Hofman said the previous versions have appeared in locations including Osaka, Japan; Auckland; Hasselt, Belgium; and Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Hofman is scheduled to speak Jan. 6 at Sydney's Powerhouse Museum.
