ST. CLOUD, Fla., Dec. 26 (UPI) -- Police in Florida said they arrested a man accused of brandishing a pellet gun at a McDonald's drive-through window when he was told the eatery wasn't open.

St. Cloud police said Donald Delong, 21, was one of three people in a car around 4:30 a.m. Sunday when it pulled up to McDonald's drive-through and Delong asked if he could go inside the restaurant and use a coupon he had for a free meal, WESH-TV, Orlando, Fla., reported Wednesday.

Police said Delong pulled out a pellet gun when the employee said the restaurant was not open.

Officers said Delong was arrested at the Pizza Hut next door to the McDonald's and charged with aggravated assault.
