IRVINE, Calif., Dec. 10 (UPI) -- A Hassidic Jewish group in California created a 9-foot-tall menorah from 500 cupcakes to mark the second night of Hanukkah.

Chabad of Irvine assembled the candle holder Sunday at the Irvine Spectrum from 500 cupcakes in three different flavors and the cupcakes were served to the assembled crowd after the lighting of the Hanukkah candles, the Orange County (Calif.) Register reported Monday.

"It's a way of drawing a big crowd and having lots of fun," Rabbi Elly Andrusier said.

Entertainment was provided by Rabbi Blue and his Ten Commandments Music Band.

Andrusier said the group will light a chocolate chip cookie menorah Tuesday.
