FLAGSTAFF, Ariz., Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Police in Arizona said they are seeking a pair of drug dealers known as "Applez" and "Sauce" following an alleged attempted slaying with a machete.
Flagstaff police said Applez and Sauce pulled up next to the man around 9 a.m. Saturday and Applez allegedly held the man down while Sauce struck him repeatedly with a machete, causing several deep cuts to his face and nearly severing his ear, The (Flagstaff) Arizona Daily Sun reported Wednesday.
"(The victim) stated they were all involved in pushing product and he called them out on their [expletive] because he was tired of them thinking it was their way or no way," police said.
Police said both men fled the scene in older model Cadillacs.
Investigators said they have identified Applez, who has tattoos of apples on his neck and stomach, as Andrew James Jaurequi, 19, of Flagstaff. They said officers are still working to identify Sauce.
