Heritage Auctions said the color poster, an advertisement for a "Mickey Mouse Sound Cartoon," is one of the earliest surviving images of the iconic character, ABC News reported Friday. Advertisement WENN.com said the poster sold for $101,575 to an unidentified buyer. Grey Smith, director of movie poster auctions at Heritage Auctions, described the piece as "an important piece of pop culture treasure."
