CAPE COD, Mass., Nov. 27 (UPI) -- A Texas A&M University graduate says she is overjoyed to have her school ring back after losing it last winter at Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.

Toni Chandler said she was devastated when she lost the ring at the park just before Christmas last year and even a metal detector was ineffective in finding it before she had to leave the park, KXAN-TV, Austin, Texas, reported Tuesday.

However, the ring was found in the spring by Barb Walsh and her husband John, of Cape Cod, Mass., when they visited the park on a camping trip. The ring was engraved with Chandler's full name, but Walsh was unable to locate the other woman online.

"We finished our trip, came home, and had some friends over to dinner last week, and my friend is a retired FBI agent, so I said, you know, 'If anybody can find this girl, it's probably you,'" Walsh said.

Walsh said she soon had Chandler on the phone.

"I'm so grateful to have it back," Chandler said of the ring, "and it warmed my heart to know that there are honest people out there. I gained my faith back in humanity."
