BOCA RATON, Fla., Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Florida police said a fight about whether a woman could give herself the title "girlfriend" ended with the woman threatening her date and smashing his window.
Boca Raton police said officers responded just after midnight Wednesday to an apartment where they found Jillian Martone, 35, crying outside of the residence and saying she had been in an argument with Efren Molina, 39, the man inside the apartment, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported Thursday.
Police said Molina had a cut on his hand when he answered the door and there was a smashed window and a rock inside the residence.
Molina said the couple had gone on their first date earlier in the evening and they had returned to his apartment, where they argued about whether Martone was now his girlfriend.
Martone allegedly punched Molina in the face, threatened him with a kitchen knife and used a pair of large rocks to smash his apartment window.
