GOTHENBURG, Sweden, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- A Swedish woman accused of using human bones as sex toys told authorities she collected the remains because she is interested in history.

Prosecutors said the 37-year-old woman -- who was arrested in September and charged Tuesday in Gothenburg District Court with violating the peace of the dead -- was in possession of a CD labeled "My necrophilia" and "My first experience" when she was arrested, The Local.se reported Tuesday.

Prosecutor Kristina Ehrenborg-Staffas said authorities do not know how the woman obtained the bones but an initial homicide investigation was later dropped.

The woman, who pleaded not guilty, said she has done nothing illegal.

She faces fines and as much as two years in prison if convicted.
