Studenti.it said 38 percent of students using the website picked math as their least favorite subject, while 16 percent chose Latin and 9 percent picked Italian, ANSA reported Thursday. Advertisement "This aversion (to math) has a scientific basis," said Marta Ferrucci, who manages Studenti.it. "According to research at the University of Chicago, solving math problems has a tendency to provoke a cerebral reaction that's comparable to physical pain. The research is causing much discussion, but it shouldn't become an alibi."
