APPOIGNY, France, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- A missing dog in France was returned to her home after being picked up by a trucker about 25 miles from her home.
Daniel Trabach, a spokesman for Yonne council, said Chipie the border terrier vanished from her family's Appoigny garden in September and was picked up by the trucker about six days later, The Local.fr reported Friday.
Chipie rode along with the truck driver on a cross-country work trip before he took her to a vet in Besancon, who was able to track down the owners.
"The driver thought he would keep Chipie if no one came to find her, he found that she was very well-behaved in his truck," Trabach said.
