PADANG, Indonesia, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Indonesian officials said a pilot has been suspended pending the outcome of an investigation into why he landed a passenger jet at the wrong airport.

Authorities said the Sriwijaya Air jet, which took off from Medan, Sumatra, had 96 passengers aboard when it landed at the Tabing air force base instead of the Minangkabau airport in Padang, seven miles from the base, the BBC reported Monday.
