Loose pig tears up Pa. yards

Oct. 9, 2012 at 12:50 PM   |   Comments

MIDLAND HEIGHTS, Pa., Oct. 9 (UPI) -- Residents of a Pennsylvania neighborhood said a loose potbellied pig has been destroying their yards.

The Midland Heights neighbors said the pig, which the Pennsylvania Game Commission said is believed to have been left behind by an owner who moved away from the area, has thus far eluded trappers from the local Humane Society, KDKA-TV, Pittsburgh, reported Tuesday.

Resident Kristi Bilotto said she is worried the pig will become wild and pose a threat to local children.

"He won't come out by the cage because he knows there's a cage there! So he's a little smarter than everyone trying to catch him," she said.
