The man contacted police and was allowed to spend the rest of the night at a police station. He said officers were giving him a ride to a train station Wednesday when he spotted his car on the road.

"I was bloody lucky," the man told the Goteborgs-Posten newspaper.

The two women, who police said were suspected to be intoxicated, were arrested and the man's car was returned to him. Police said they recovered what they believe to be stolen goods from the vehicle.
