Waukegan Police Lt. Edward Fitzgerald said the yellow snake was spotted by a man trimming bushes Monday near Waukegan Municipal Beach and the reptile was captured without incident by Animal Control officers, the Chicago Sun-Times Media Network reported Tuesday. He said the snake, which he said was likely abandoned by its owner, "kind of livened up a little bit" after being taken to the Wildlife Discovery Center in Lake Forest. Fitzgerald said the snake is being treated for an unspecified illness at the discovery center. Read More 'Nasty' 11-foot python captured in Fla.
