LONDON, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- A London man who was kept up all night by his neighbors' loud singing said he responded by posting a critique of the performance on a neighborhood notice board.
Oli Beale, 33, said the Saturday night balcony singing prevented him from sleeping so he wrote a song-by-song critique of the performance and put the review on the communal notice board for his block of apartments, The Daily Telegraph reported Monday.
The note is addressed "To the people that kept us up all night by singing/screaming on their balcony" and thanks them for the "epic performance."
"Your terrace faces 115 windows so you really did have the perfect stage," the note reads. "I'm sure you're keen to hear our verdict."
The critique begins with a rendition of The Who's "Pinball Wizard," which Beale rated a "terrible" three out of 10.
He was kinder toward a performance of Elton John's "Tiny Dancer," ranking it a seven out of 10.
"Actually very good," he wrote. "I've always said it: If you're going to be woken up after 2 hours' sleep, it might as well be to a herd of morons screaming 'Tiny Dancer'."
Beale said his critique was meant in good humor.
"The poor guys, they were probably just having a party. It's not like I'm striding around absolutely fuming," he said.
