Woman hasn't eaten since May 3, plans to go on
NEW YORK, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- Ice cream maker Ben & Jerry's filed a lawsuit in New York against a hardcore pornography company that spoofed the line's flavors with its movie titles.
The lawsuit, filed in federal court, accuses Caballero Video of using "titles and themes that are based on and deliberately trade upon" Ben & Jerry's trademarks for its "Ben & Cherry's" line of films, the New York Post reported Thursday.
The porn titles include "Boston Cream Thigh" and "Hairy Garcia," which the ice cream maker said are deliberate references to its "Boston Cream Pie" and "Cherry Garcia" flavors.
The New York Daily News reported the ice cream company also accuses the porn studio of ripping off its logo to make covers for the DVDs.
The suit seeks the profits from the movies as well as unspecified damages.
The Post said Caballero officials did not return calls for comment.
