Naked man caught on news cameras

BENTON, Ark., Sept. 4 (UPI) -- An Arkansas man arrested on indecent exposure charges was caught on camera by a news crew doing a story about a fallen tree.

KARK-TV, Little Rock, said a crew was recording footage for a story Sunday afternoon about a fallen tree that destroyed a Benton house when Nathaniel Koba, 22, walked out of the woods completely nude.

The station said Koba was covering his genitals with his hands and did not appear to be doing anything vulgar when he was caught on camera. A Saline County sheriff's deputy soon arrived on the scene and arrested Koba while KARK-TV's cameras were still rolling.

Koba, who deputies said is believed to have been on drugs, was charged with indecent exposure and public intoxication.

Lake for sale in Denmark

COPENHAGEN, Denmark, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Officials in the Danish capital said they are seeking to sell a local lake, but the buyers will not be able to build on the property.

The Copenhagen City Council said it is accepting bids for Gentofte Lake, which encompasses about 334,877 square yards and has been appraised at about $70,900, The Copenhagen Post reported Tuesday.

Officials said the city wants to save the approximately $1,700 it spends each year on maintaining the lake.

The property sale would include a few islands on the lake, but buyers would be prohibited from building on them or on the shore of the lake due to the area's protected status.

Couple barred from painting house gray

TRELLEBORG, Sweden, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- A Swedish couple said they were prevented from painting their house because the shade of gray they picked did not match neighboring homes.

Ellinor Johansson told The Local she and her boyfriend filed for permission from Trelleborg officials to paint their house gray, and they received a response this month informing them the request had been denied because the shade of gray they had picked did not match the colors of neighboring houses.

"The house is my boyfriend's. Surely he can paint it whichever color he likes. And I don't see what the problem is with gray!" she said.

"All the houses on our side of the street are painted in a similar color. They're all from the seventies and don't even look that great. We were told that we just couldn't paint the house in the color we'd chosen," Johansson said. "What's worse -- all the houses on the other side of the street are really modern, and are all painted in different colors. It doesn't make sense."

Johansson said she and her boyfriend plan to appeal the decision.

1,255 redheads gather in Netherlands

BREDA, Netherlands, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- A total of 1,255 people in a Dutch city set a world record for the largest gathering of natural redheads, Guinness World Records said.

Guinness said the weekend event in Breda beat the previous world record of 890 natural redheads gathered in Washington in 2010, DutchNews.nl reported Tuesday.

A total 4,000 to 5,000 people are believed to have turned out for the event, but only 1,255 qualified as natural redheads under Guinness rules.
