Thailand sets massage world record

Aug. 30, 2012 at 11:23 AM

BANGKOK, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Guinness World Records confirmed a group of 641 Thai masseuses set a record for "the most people massaged at the same time."

Robert Molloy, a Guinness adjudicator, presented the official record documentation Thursday to Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra as part of the Thailand Medical Expo 2012 in Bangkok, MCOT reported Thursday.

The 641 masseuses massaged 641 people in 12 minutes to defeat a 2010 record of 263 simultaneous massages, which was set in Australia.
