BOSTON, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- The crew of a Provincetown-bound ferry got into a typical maritime jam Saturday in Boston Harbor -- they ran their ship aground.

The 149 passengers on the Provincetown III were not hurt, The Boston Globe reported. They were transferred to another vessel for the trip to the resort on the tip of Cape Cod.

The ferry was undamaged as well.

Ross Ruddell, a public affairs specialist with the Coast Guard, said the mishap occurred near Nixes Mate, a tiny island in the harbor.

"There was not enough water underneath the boat," Ruddell said. "They're waiting for the next high tide to refloat."

Bay State Cruise Co., which owns the Provincetown III, said it would provide bus service to Provincetown, Mass., or allow passengers to use tickets on other ferries.
