HOUSTON, Aug. 13 (UPI) -- A Houston organization said the Charity Saloon it is opening in the city's downtown will be the first U.S. bar to donate all profits to local charities.

The Organized Kollaboration on Restaurant Affairs, a group of independent bar and restaurant owners that formed in 2011, said The Original OKRA Charity Saloon will donate its profits to a different local charity each month, the Houston Chronicle reported Monday.

"The employees here will get paid. Anything pass the double-black line, goes to charity," said Paul Petronella, owner of Paulie's Restaurant on Westheimer and a member of OKRA.

OKRA said bar patrons will receive voting slips to choose which Houston nonprofit receives each month's profits.
