Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe LULEA, Sweden, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Swedish police said they detained a Norwegian man who was seen "stumbling about" drunk while wearing a Superman costume. Lulea police Officer Erik Kummu told the Swedish-language Norrbottenskuriren paper residents had reported a highly intoxicated man walking around the Storhedan shopping center late Wednesday night, The Local.se reported Friday. Advertisement "He was seen stumbling about in a pretty drunk condition," Kummu said. "It is dark up there and there are all kinds of little slopes and hills, so we had to see if he was in need of help." Kummu said the man was determined to be too intoxicated to take care of himself and was taken to the police station to sleep off his drunkenness. The officer said the man was seen stumbling around drunkenly the next night wearing the same Superman costume and was reportedly kicked out of a restaurant. However, he was not detained for a second time.
