TORONTO, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Toronto officials said they are investigating a photograph that appears to show a member of a survey crew sleeping in a city-owned van.

City spokeswoman Jackie DeSouza said Thursday officials are looking into the picture, which shows a technical services survey crew member asleep in the back of an open van with the doors open while two other crew members sit in the front seats, the Toronto Sun reported Friday.

"The city will be meeting with the employees involved, and will take any disciplinary action it deems appropriate," DeSouza said.

The spokeswoman said city workers have previously been warned about sleeping in city vehicles.

"(Survey and mapping staff in technical services) have been previously advised that sleeping in a city vehicle is not acceptable at any time," she said.
