RENO, Nev., Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Alexandre Rocha's 16 points in the second round of the Reno-Tahoe Open Friday earned him a two-point advantage over a pair of competitors after 36 holes.

Under the Modified Stableford scoring system, Rocha amassed his point total with an eagle, seven birdies and three bogeys at Montreux Golf and Country Club.

That put him two points ahead of J.J. Henry (12 points) and John Mallinger (11).

Andres Romero, who was a co-leader after the first round, fell into a fourth-place tie with a 7-point performance Friday. He finished knotted with Arjun Atwal (14) at 21 points.
