DIXON, Ill., Aug. 2 (UPI) -- The U.S. Marshals Service said the lone bid for a former Illinois official's motor home came in under the $1 million requirement.

Jason Wojdylo, chief inspector for the Marshals' asset forfeiture division, said there was only one bid Wednesday for former Dixon comptroller Rita Crundwell's 2009 Elegant Lady series Liberty Coach motor home, the Chicago Tribune reported Thursday.

"We put it out there to the target-rich audience, but it didn't sell," Wojdylo said.

Wojdylo said the suggested list price for the motor home is $2.1 million, while Crundwell paid $1.575 million and owed about $434,000 on it when it was seized.

Crundwell is facing charges that she stole more than $53 million from the city over the course of 22 years. Investigators said she used the stolen cash to fund her lifestyle, which included a champion horse breeding business.
