
CHALKERVILLE, Mich., Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Police in Michigan said a man left two young children unattended when he went out drinking and ended up crawling into bed with some neighbors.
Investigators said the 27-year-old Chalkerville man, whose name was not released, left his children, ages 2 and 4, at home alone when he went out drinking and ended up going back to the wrong house and crawling into bed with a 75-year-old man and his 72-year-old wife, The Livingston County Daily Press & Argus, Howell, Mich., reported Wednesday.
The man was held on suspicion of misdemeanor illegal entry and released after posting $1,500 bond. No formal charges have been filed.
Police said the children, who were sleeping safely at home, where placed with neighbors with their father's consent. Child Protective Services have been notified of the incident, police said.
