DUBLIN, Ireland, July 4 (UPI) -- An Irish woman said she was reunited with her dog after it hopped a train in Kilcock and ended up about 20 miles away in Dublin.
Deirdre Anglin said her dog, Patch, went missing "around 4 or 5 p.m." Tuesday and apparently hopped an Irish Rail train Wednesday morning from Kilcock to Pearse Station in Dublin, TheJournal.ie reported Wednesday.
Workers at the station took care of Patch and posted his picture on Twitter.
"This morning we did the usual social network thing, putting photos on Facebook and Twitter and then I saw the tweet from Irish Rail at around 9.30 so I went straight down for him," Anglin said.
Anglin said she doesn't think Patch will try to repeat the stunt.
"He's a bit nervous now so I'd say he's had his fill of trains and won't be going on them again," she said.
