STOCKHOLM, Sweden, June 25 (UPI) -- Stockholm police said a Facebook post aimed at helping a young girl find her missing teddy bear was not a waste of police resources.

The poster was made by Kristin Blomqvist to help find the bear lost by her daughter, Tyra, and the poster was spotted by a Stockholm police officer and uploaded to an official police Facebook page, The Local.se reported Monday.

"Together, through 'liking' this picture, spreading the link, and keeping our eyes open, we can together make it so Tyra gets her beloved teddy bear back," the caption on the Sunday Facebook post reads. "Be sure to leave the bear at the nearest police station so Tyra can see her friend again!"

A police inspector responded to a commenter's concerns about the use of police resources.

"The article above was written by an off-duty policeman, so the cost to us was zero. If we, through two minutes' work, can help her get her friend back, we'd say it's good prioritizing, don't you think?" the post read.
