NEW YORK, June 11 (UPI) -- Two fans of the tabletop Strat-O-Matic Baseball game set a world record for the game by playing for 54 hours non-stop at a New York restaurant.

Brett Carow and Sam Hennemann, who are from Minnesota, said they traveled to New York after Foley's Pub & Restaurant agreed to host their marathon gaming session, MLB.com reported Monday.

Carow and Hennemann, who were allowed 5-minute breaks every hour, said they played more than 100 rounds of the game starting Thursday and became world record-holders Saturday.

Carow said the accomplishment left him feeling "extremely exhausted."

"The low point for me was between 4 and 5 [a.m.]. We took an hour nap ... and that was the first time we slept. That was 40 hours in," Carow said.
