NEW YORK, June 5 (UPI) -- Frailty, thy name is President Barack Obama, who spoke of the wrong Romney during the last of three campaign events in New York.

Obama, warming up to a discussion about likely opponent Mitt Romney, began a speech Monday with "George Romney," Politico reported.

"Uh ... Governor Romney," Obama said after the audience laughed.

George Romney was the presumptive Republican nominee's father who also ran for White House during the Vietnam War era and who has figured large in the candidate's life.

Democrats sometimes invoke the elder Romney's name when criticizing the former Massachusetts governor's reluctance to release his tax returns although Politico said Obama's utterance may have been from fatigue.
