Woman charged with stealing ambulance

CHICAGO, May 28 (UPI) -- Chicago police said they arrested a woman accused of stealing an ambulance and crashing it into two parked vehicles.

Investigators said Cassie Weathersby, 30, allegedly took the ambulance around 10:45 p.m. Sunday from outside Saint Bernard Hospital and she soon crashed the vehicle into two parked vehicles in the 6700 block of South Indiana, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Monday.

The Chicago Tribune reported Weathersby, who was not injured, was charged with the theft of the ambulance, driving on a suspended license and driving under the influence of alcohol.
