Neighbors complain of smell, San Francisco bacon restaurant shut down
LA PUENTE, Calif., May 14 (UPI) -- Police in California said they arrested an alleged drunk driver who drove through a cinder block wall and submerged his Lexus in a backyard swimming pool.
The California Highway Patrol said Modesto Cabral, 40, of La Puente was allegedly drunk around 5:25 a.m. Sunday when he crashed through the wall and plunged his car into a family's pool, the West Corvina San Gabriel Valley Tribune reported Monday.
Officer Steve Licon said Cabral, who climbed out the window of the car, suffered only minor injuries.
Cabral was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
