VERO BEACH, Fla., May 13 (UPI) -- A store security agent in Florida said an alleged shoplifter walked out of a supermarket with an order of fish down his pants and left in a car pulling a boat.

It may never be known if the culprit was it a fisherman compensating for striking out on the water, but he was wearing a T-shirt with a fish on the back and escaped with $44 worth of flounder and $12 worth of shrimp, the security agent said.

Tcpalm said the agent at the Publix store told Martin County Sheriff's Office the caper occurred earlier this month when she saw two men at the seafood counter ordering fish. One man paid for his order but his friend apparently didn't feel like waiting in line and exited with his order hidden in his shorts.

Both men drove off in a silver pickup truck towing a boat, but not before the security agent wrote down a possible license number.
