Anna Thomasson took the dog home after finding it tied up outside the courthouse in Trelleborg and traced the canine back to a family in Eslov that had reported it stolen from them in 2009. The wayward mutt named Rex had disappeared from Andre Lauridsen's home as a puppy three years ago. The Lauridsens had earlier implanted a data chip in Rex's ear with his address on it, which enabled Thomasson to zero in on its original home, the Swedish news agency TT said Sunday.
