In a Raphael fresco, the image of Stallone

May 13, 2012 at 11:49 AM

ROME, May 13 (UPI) -- A tourist said he found Sylvester Stallone's look-alike this week in an unlikely place: An oil painting in the Vatican in Rome.

La Republica reported Sunday that Harvard student Anthony Zonfrell found the Hollywood actor's image in a fresco called the Stanza della Signatura, a fresco painted by Raphael Sanzio da Urbino in 1511.

"We just saw it, we realized that it was a perfect copy of Stallone, something really funny," said Zonfrell.

Zonfrell was visiting the Vatican Museums with his family. La Republica said a cousin first noticed the image, a main character of the fresco, which Zonfrell identified as a possible double for Stallone.
