FORT PIERCE, Fla., April 13 (UPI) -- The Florida Highway Patrol said a woman spotted defecating next to a car on Interstate 95 was arrested on charges including vehicle theft.
Investigators said a trooper spotted a woman squatting next to a stopped vehicle with her pants down April 7 on northbound Interstate 95, just 6 miles south of the St. Lucie County Rest Area, and asked the woman what she was doing, TCPalm.com reported Friday.
The woman, who gave her name as Mellisa Mansfield, 31, told the trooper she was going to the bathroom. Mansfield told the trooper she did not have her driver's license with her and investigators determined she was driving without a license.
The highway patrol said they also discovered the vehicle the woman was using had been reported stolen from Key West.
Mansfield was arrested on charges including indecent exposure, vehicle theft and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.
