Advertisement Bradley Garrett described the adventure on his blog, Place Hacking. He said he and two friends only had to evade a single guard when they climbed onto the site of the Shard, which is due to be completed in June, from a walkway near London Bridge Railway station. Garrett did not gave a date for the stun. He said it was after 2 a.m. when the three adventurers took the building's staircases to the 76th floor and went out to the top of the skyscraper. "We were so high, I couldn't see anything moving at street level. No buses, no cars, just rows of lights and train lines that looked like converging river systems, a giant urban circuit board," Garrett wrote on his blog. Advertisement A spokesman for developer Sellar Property Group and contractor Mace said the are aware of the security breach and believe it took place in December 2010. He said security has since been tightened, with 14 guards watching the facility at night and 25 CCTV cameras operating together with a laser alarm system on the ground floor. Easter egg hunt ends in violence MEMPHIS, April 9 (UPI) -- Memphis police said an Easter egg hunt ended with a brawl between two families and a woman's arrest for taking a hammer to a man's head. Police said the man argued with Annette Pearson, 43, Sunday because he thought she was giving the children too much help finding the grand prize golden egg containing $7, The Memphis Commercial Appeal reported Monday. The families broke into violence after the man slapped the woman twice and police said Pearson retrieved a claw hammer from her house and struck the man in the head, leaving a wound that required four staples. Pearson was charged with felony aggravated assault and taken to Shelby County's Jail East for women in lieu of $20,000 bond. Squirrel absconds with Easter egg HOUSTON, April 9 (UPI) -- A Texas family said they snapped pictures of a thieving squirrel snatching up a plastic Easter egg and eating the candy inside. Advertisement The family said they were hiding the eggs Sunday for the children to search for at a park in The Woodlands when the squirrel grabbed a plastic egg and ran up a tree, where he was photographed opening the egg and enjoying its sugary contents, KTRK-TV, Houston, reported Monday. "I thought I would need the camera when the kids were hunting eggs, not when the adults were hiding them," the family member who took the pictures told KTRK-TV. Stolen GPS leads police to suspect CHICAGO, April 9 (UPI) -- Authorities in Chicago said a suspect in a $17,000 Radio Shack robbery was tracked down through a GPS device that was part of the loot. Assistant State's Attorney Wendy Caceres said Raymond Jefferson, 20, who was wielding a handgun, and two unarmed accomplices tied up workers and customers at the West 95th Street store Friday and took items that included cellphones, iPads, Kindles and a GPS device, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Monday. Carceres told the Chicago Tribune Jefferson was arrested about 2 hours after the crime by officers who located him through the stolen GPS unit. Jefferson, who was identified by witnesses, was charged with armed robbery and aggravated kidnapping. He was ordered held on $350,000 bond. Advertisement
