Squirrel absconds with Easter egg

HOUSTON, April 9 (UPI) -- A Texas family said they snapped pictures of a thieving squirrel snatching up a plastic Easter egg and eating the candy inside.

The family said they were hiding the eggs Sunday for the children to search for at a park in The Woodlands when the squirrel grabbed a plastic egg and ran up a tree, where he was photographed opening the egg and enjoying its sugary contents, KTRK-TV, Houston, reported Monday.

"I thought I would need the camera when the kids were hunting eggs, not when the adults were hiding them," the family member who took the pictures told KTRK-TV.
