STOCKHOLM, Sweden, April 5 (UPI) -- A Swedish man who used Twitter to ask police to nab speeders near his home ended up with a $358 speeding ticket the following day.

Henrik Ismarker of Stockholm tweeted to the police account Tuesday to complain about speeders frequenting a road near his home and the following day he was busted for speeding on the same road and received a $358 fine, The Local reported Thursday.

"Nice that you were there already today. Unfortunately, this became expensive for me," Ismarker tweeted to police Wednesday.

Police responded to the tweet and confirmed it was his complaint that led them to watch for speeders on the road.

"This couldn't be a bigger fail then. But thanks for the lesson," he posted.
