ROGERS, Ark., March 15 (UPI) -- Police in Arkansas said a girl inspired by a funny picture online sent a message about a "body" to a random number that turned out to be a police detective.

Investigators said the 15-year-old Rogers girl was inspired by a picture on Pinterest reading, "When I'm bored, I send a text to a random number saying 'I hid the body ... now what?,'" KHBS/KHOG, Fort Smith, Ark., reported Thursday.

The girl decided to text the message to a random number in the 479-area code, and the digits she picked turned out to belong to a police detective and the text was traced back to the girl's phone.

Officers questioned the girl and her father before deciding to release her with a warning.

Police said the girl could have been charged with a misdemeanor count of initiating or circulating a false emergency report.
