NEW YORK, March 1 (UPI) -- A couple who spent their wedding night at New York's Waldorf-Astoria are spending their 60th anniversary at the hotel for the 1952 price of $16.80.

Isidore Schwartz, 88, and his wife, Joan, 82, said they are taking advantage of a service offered by the Waldorf to spend their 60th anniversary at the hotel this weekend for the same price they paid on their honeymoon, $16.80 per night, the New York Daily News reported Thursday.

"I'm going to see if anything looks familiar," said Schwartz, of East Lyme, Conn.

The couple said they are excited to get a steep discount from the Waldorf's current per-night prices, which start at $319.

The hotel said the couple are allowed to use the old price for their anniversary because they have held on to their 60-year-old receipt, which totaled $17.10 due to a 30-cent phone bill being added to the $16.80 room.

Hotel workers said two or three couples take advantage of the milestone-marking deal each year.
