LONDON, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- British digital radio station Jazz FM apologized to listeners after sounds some described as pornography were heard during a broadcast.
The station said there was "unauthorized activity and behavior in the studio" about 7:15 p.m. Saturday and the pre-recorded Funcky Sensation with Mike Vitti show was interrupted by about 5 minutes of sounds many listeners likened to what might be heard on an adult film, RadioToday.co.uk reported Monday.
"Unfortunately we had an unauthorized access to the live feed this evening which resulted in a highly regrettable incident. Please accept our profound and sincere apologies for any offense that may have been caused," a statement on the digital radio station's Web site reads.
Program director Mike Vitti said he will personally apologize on the air prior to the start of next week's program.
