LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga., Feb. 15 (UPI) -- Authorities in Georgia said they arrested two women accused of trafficking in fake Nike shoes featuring an image of Michael Jordan with one too many fingers.
Gwinnett County police said the women, Kotina Lashan Feaster and Jessica Pennick, were pulled over Saturday for following too closely to another car and the officer discovered 78 boxes of counterfeit Nikes in the Pontiac Grand Prix, WSB-TV, Atlanta, reported Wednesday.
The officer said he immediately knew the shoes were fakes because the image of Michael Jordan on the logo had too many fingers on one hand.
Feaster and Pennick were arrested on a felony charge of possessing forged or counterfeited goods.
