Colo. man builds Tebow from snow

SUPERIOR, Colo., Feb. 6 (UPI) -- A Colorado man said his giant snow sculpture of Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow in his familiar "Tebowing" pose is gaining attention.

Tracy Fox of Superior said he and his family created the sculpture, which they dubbed "Tebow, Tebowing," as both a tribute to the quarterback and a sign of their shared faith, KDVR-TV, Denver, reported Monday.

"I personally moved about 10 tons of snow for this sculpture of Tebow, Tebowing," Fox said. "We just give all glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."

"We had done a snow sculpture to the Minnesota Vikings when we lived up near the Twin Cities, so this was a natural, now that we are really in God's Country," he said.

Fox said neighbors have been posing for pictures with the sculpture and he has been contacted by media outlets from across the country.

Veteran's ashes sent to wrong address

ALPINE, Calif., Feb. 6 (UPI) -- A California woman who mailed her father's ashes and U.S. Army dog tags to her brother in Washington state said the package ended up at the wrong address.

Carole Irwin of Alpine said she was told the package fell off a mail truck and was repacked, but a mix-up resulted in it being labeled with the wrong address and ending up at a Seattle home, KSWB-TV, San Diego, reported Monday.

The Seattle woman who received the package used the dog tags to trace the package back to Irwin.

Irwin said the mistake makes sense given that her father, a Vietnam veteran, was always on the lookout for adventure.

"I was just like 'well I guess he wanted to see Seattle," Irwin said. "I'm just so fortunate that it got into the right hands."

Man accidentally shoots self at gun show

SAVANNAH, Ga., Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Police in Georgia said they are investigating in incident in which a gun show attendee apparently accidentally shot himself in the leg.

Savannah-Chatham police said the 26-year-old Charles Lake man was reloading his pistol at the gun show Sunday at the Savannah Civic Center and accidentally discharged a round into his leg about 5:10 p.m., the Savannah Morning News reported Monday.

The man was taken to the Memorial University Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury.

Police are investigating.

Neighbors' garage door openers all quit

ST. CHARLES, Mo., Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Neighbors on a Missouri cull-de-sac said they are baffled as to why all of their garage door openers stopped working at the same time.

The residents of the five homes on Westhampton View Court in St. Charles said their garage door openers stopped operating Dec. 26 and 27 and they have been unable to identify any new causes of interference in the area to explain the issue, The St. Louis (Mo.) Post-Dispatch reported Monday.

"You'd see one of the neighbors pull up to the garage and get out of the car," Gilbert Ballman said. "Pretty soon we were asking each other, 'Are you having trouble with your garage door too?'"

The neighbors said a technician from The Chamberlain Group, which makes Liftmaster openers, is scheduled to investigate the problem this week. All but one of the residents said they use Liftmaster devices.

The residents said they have all filed complaints with the Federal Communications Commission, but it is unknown how long the agency will take to investigate.
