View Larger Map Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe CHICAGO, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Authorities in Chicago said a man trapped in an elevator was rescued by a firefighter, but the pair soon became stuck in a second elevator. Fire officials said firefighters responded to the Park Monroe Condominiums around 9:15 p.m. Sunday on a report of a man stuck in an elevator between the 21st and 22nd floors, the Chicago Tribune reported Monday. Advertisement The officials said a firefighter went up an elevator in an adjoining shaft and used the ceiling hatches to bring the trapped man to the second elevator. However, that elevator then became stuck and the men were rescued by firefighters in a third elevator. The cause of the malfunction was not immediately determined, fire officials said.
