Snake found in hotel trouser press

ORNSKOLDSVIK, Sweden, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- The manager of a Swedish hotel said a guest was shocked to discover a snake in the trouser press in her room.

Anders Nilsson, manager of the hotel in Ornskoldsvik, said the woman told workers she investigated the appliance when her dog was giving it a lot of attention and soon discovered the object she believed to be a belt was actually a snake hanging from the trouser press, The Local reported Friday.

"I have been here for 30 years and have never experienced anything like this, it is an incredible story," Nilsson said.

"When they called from reception that night I thought that I had misheard them. The line was not so good, but it turned out to be a snake," he said.

The snake, which was killed by police, was identified as a harmless Manchurian black water snake.

Nilsson said the snake was likely either left behind by a previous guest or escaped from its owner.
