Cross-country drive on 2 gallons of gas

PALERMO, Italy, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- A 16th century statue of St. Augustine stolen in 1982 from a Catholic church was found in Sicily, Italian officials said.
Police said a lengthy investigation resulted in the statue being recovered from a private home near Palermo, ANSA reported Friday.
The statue was taken in 1982 from the the San Francesco Saverio di Mondovi sanctuary near Cuneo in the Piedmont region. The statue has been returned to the church.
Police said one person was arrested on a charge of receiving stolen goods.
