VARA, Sweden, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Authorities in Sweden said a pair of would-be shoplifters in wheelchairs stood up and ran away when confronted by store workers.
Investigators said the two men were seen using their wheelchairs to conceal groceries Sunday at Willy's supermarket in Vara and workers confronted the pair, The Local reported Monday.
The men fled on foot, taking one of the wheelchairs with them and leaving the other behind.
Police said they found a hidden compartment in the wheelchair containing a carton of coffee packages.
