JUPITER, Fla., Jan. 10 (UPI) -- A Florida man said a woman struck him on the head with a hammer because she was "upset with Judge Judy."

The 65-year-old victim, whose identity was not revealed by Jupiter police, said he was watching "Judge Judy" on television Sunday morning when Janet Knowles, 62, entered the room and got "upset with Judge Judy," The Palm Beach (Fla.) Post reported Tuesday.

The victim said Knowles then struck him in the head with a hammer, resulting in a "large cut" to his head and a wound to his left forearm.

The man was treated at the scene by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue crews.

Knowles told police she became "mad" at the victim for watching "Judge Judy" and attacked him with a hammer. She then told police about what her neighbor was wearing, the arrest affidavit said.

Knowles was charged with aggravated battery using a deadly weapon.
