NORCO, Calif., Jan. 10 (UPI) -- An economic survey at a California city nicknamed "Horsetown USA" found many respondents want the western theme taken further.

The Norco Economic Development Advisory Committee said the business retention survey of 140 local business owners found many wanted Norco, Calif., which features several horse trails and has hitching posts outside of businesses, to go further with its "Horsetown USA" theme, The (Riverside, Calif.) Press-Enterprise reported Tuesday.

"Norco has the basics to create a horse-related tourist attraction, however, it has never developed this potential," one of the respondents commented.

Another respondent said the city should strengthen the western theme on Sixth Street, which features businesses with replicas of horses and other western decorations.
