SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- A Salt Lake City woman accused of stealing from her neighbors allegedly wore a fake mustache and an oversize man's suit to disguise herself, police said.
Manar Ahmad was charged with two counts of burglary and one count of theft after the neighbors, who had given Ahmad a key in 2009 when they asked her to house-sit for them, discovered thousands of dollars in cash missing from a box inside their home, The Salt Lake Tribune reported Tuesday.
The couple purchased a security camera and after looking at the tape discovered what "appeared to be a woman disguised as a man" taking money from the box, the charges said.
Police searched Ahmad's home and found a suit and beanie matching the ones seen in the surveillance video, as well as a fake black mustache, the newspaper said.
